Brown Bag Seafood: West Midtown

Honestly? Brown Bag Seafood is serving up fresh seafood dishes with quality ingredients in West Side Provisions. Located in West Midtown Atlanta, this counter-service restaurant has the cutest wharf-inspired decor from the hand-drawn "Catch of Day" poster to the boat-inspired lighting and roping. The menu is "design your own style".

First, you start with the star of your meal: fish, shrimp, chicken, or a hefty serving of sesame broccoli or spicy cauliflower. Step two is choosing your accompanying greens, veggies, or grains; or you can put your main into a taco or a sandwich. Step three is choosing your sides with the most famous being the tots. There are also soups and add-ons like their veggie blend or their homemade New England style, clam "Chowdah".If you are feeling outside of the bag try Brown Bag has the following "Big Fish" features. lobster roll, dinner plate, seasonal special, and fish and chips.

What I tried at Brown Bag Seafood. I started with the Daily Catch which was a grilled St. Peter's filet. I went with the Veggiebox as a side which was a blend of sauteed Brussels, broccoli, green beans, kale, fresh spinach, and herbs. I also had the truffle parmesan tots which are delicious and what Brown Bag is known for. The garlic bread is also super delicious.

Then I tried the lobster roll that is stuffed with knuckle and claw meat into a warm New England-style bun. I went with another side of the truffle parmesan tots. The tots are just that good!

Features to look forward to at Brown Bag Seafood. Make sure to try the Boss Sauce it is Brown Bag's signature and will take your meal up a notch. Select locations have a happy hour from 4 pm until 6 pm. If you have a sweet tooth try Sandy's Amazing cookies that are non-GMO and made with cage-free eggs.
